The Regional Animal Protection Society is fortunate to have six “business” interns joining the administration team this summer, funded through the Government of Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs program.
Every year, we are amazed and delighted by the extraordinary young people whose drive, intelligence, commitment, tirelessness and spirit invigorate our work over the summer months.
This year, we have the interns doing about a million different things, especially repping RAPS out in the community, at parades, festivals and on the streets, as well as making sure special projects that we don’t get time to complete throughout the year reach fruition while we have these extra hands on deck.
We are proud to introduce these six outstanding young animal allies!

Why did you want to be an intern at RAPS?
I am passionate about working for a non-profit in my future career, and I have always loved animals. RAPS combines two things that are very important to me: helping animals and making a positive impact in the community. As a pet owner and animal lover, I am excited to contribute to an organization that provides care, protection, and second chances to animals in need while learning more about the non-profit sector.
