FEATURED COMMUNITY PARTNER: APPLEWOOD AUTOGROUP
Few partnerships have had a greater impact on RAPS than our relationship with Applewood Auto Group. AApplewood’s extraordinary support has helped RAPS expand what we are able to do for animals and the people who love them.
Among its transformational contributions, Applewood provides space for the RAPS Animal Hospital and administrative centre at no cost, allowing resources that would otherwise be spent on facilities to be directed toward animal care and community programs. This is a contribution-in-kind over time of $3 million.
On top of this extraordinary contribution, Applewood also provided RAPS with a vehicle that supports our ability to transport animals, supplies and essential resources. That vehicle will become our Urgent Transport Unit, which will eliminate barriers to access for the companion animals of people with disabilities, mobility challenges or who are otherwise unable to conveniently bring their animals to our veterinary hospital.
This remarkable partnership demonstrates what can happen when a community-minded business and an animal welfare charity work together toward a shared purpose.
