Adoption Update!

One of our longest shelter residents, Smokie (now Pony), finally found his forever home yesterday. Smokie was surrendered almost 7 months ago and had had no interest from any potential adopters.

That is, until Leslie came along. As an RCMP officer Leslie knows how to handle a large dog like Smokie. It also means she’s active. We know Smokie will get lots of hikes and runs.

We are so glad that Leslie found her deputy in Smokie. Our staff and volunteers will certainly miss our “pony” but know that he is on to bigger and better things!
