Bellamy is going to be fine – but so many animals face danger.

Bellamy was found in an extremely dangerous situation. This sweet kitty, who is about a year old, was found by a Good Samaritan tied to a post in Richmond. Obviously, that put him in a deeply precarious situation, making him vulnerable to all sorts of predators.

Thankfully, he was discovered and brought to RAPS. He was checked out by the docs at the RAPS Animal Hospital and he’s in good shape! He’s got a low-grade heart murmur, but that’s nothing serious.

We have no idea how long he was in that dangerous situation, but he is safe now. He’s a nervous guy, but will almost certainly warm up as he realizes that most humans are trustworthy beasts. We’ll make sure he finds a fabulous forever family.

RAPS is fortunate to have the capacity to provide both the medical attention and shelter needed by animals like Bellamy. In so many communities, animal agencies do not have the capacity to deal with complicated cases.

Bellamy is going to be OK. But so many of the animals we see need significant medical intervention. That’s why we have the Emergency Cases Fund, which helps cover the expenses for animals in need.

Times are tough – we know. That means, if you are in a position to give, your generosity means that much more.
